Faceless Forever / Dog Stab!(2021)
OverviewDates

Originally conceived as a tour to support the new album Metal, Meat & Bone (the songs of Alvin Snow, aka Dyin' Dog), with a second set of Duck Stab material to fill out the evening, this show underwent a few changes when it was cancelled two (and a half) times due to the COVID-19 pandemic that hit in 2020.

The North American tour was originally scheduled for April and May of that year, but was postponed for a full year, and then to August and September of 2021. Eventually all but the California dates were cancelled. The European tour scheduled for early 2022 was postponed to 2023.

During the downtime, The Residents went into a studio to record a performance of Duck Stab to be featured on Night Flight's 40th anniversary program. By the time the public California performances finally did happen, the show began to be billed as the 50th Anniversary tour, with an encore performance of The Third Reich 'n' Roll.

In late 2022, to coincide with the California premiere of Triple Trouble, a new performance was scheduled. And now that the legitimate 50th anniversary was upon them, The Residents added "Faceless Forever!" to the tour's name.

In January of 2023, in collaboration with the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and many special guests, The Residents presented the Faceless Forever Secret Show for one night only.

The standard band tour took to North America in March and April of 2023, this time dropping "Dog Stab!" from the title altogether.
