A. The Project Concept:
An exploration of the rise in popularity of instant-video-creation due to the proliferation of inexpensive video cameras, as well as both still cameras and phones that shoot video.
B. What it was:
The Residents were seeking video for a 1:30 audio clip from Episode 1 of River of Crime.
The idea was to make a video to go with the provided audio clip.
The most favored videos were screened at the Museum of Modern Art in New York as part of a retrospective of video work from The Residents in October of 2006.
MoMA hosted those videos on their web site as well.
