Documentation - tunes in danger of becoming lost
While hard core fans and collectors no doubt have all these recordings, people newer to The Residents might have a hard time finding some if not all of these tunes.
1. Whoopy Snorp - Appeared on a compilation, Blorp Esette, put out by the Los Angeles Free Music Society in 1977.
2. And I Was Alone - Found of the Commercial Single released in the UK and France in 1980.
3. Don't - An (at the time) unreleased "B side" for the Don't Be Cruel single released in Holland in 1990.
4. Earth vs Flying Saucers - Appeared as a one-sided green vinyl single included with a book, The Cryptic Guide to The Residents in 1986.
5. From the Plains to Mexico - Another one-sided vinyl single that came with a book, The Residents - An Almost Complete Collection of Lyrics, 1972-1988.
6. Jingle Bells - This has no history and has only appeared on Jefferson - Singles History 1972-1997. There is no record of it ever having been a single.
7. Kamakazi Lady - One of the oldest know Residents pieces, it showed up on Residue in 1983.
8. Loser = Weed - The "B Side" to the Satisfaction single from 1976.
9. Santa Dog 2006 - This has only appeared briefly as a downloadable song on www.residents.com in 2006.
10. Shut Up! Shut Up! - Found of the Commercial Single released in the UK and France in 1980.
11. Surrender - An (at the time) unreleased "B side" for the Don't Be Cruel single released in Holland in 1990.
12. Beyond the Valley of a Day in the Life - An experimental Beatles collage single from 1977. All built from tape loops created from Beatle albums.
13. Flying - The "B Side" to Beyond the Valley of a Day in the Life. 1977.
14. Theme from an American TV Show - From a UK compilation cassette, Magnetic North, in 1986.
15. We're a Happy Family/Bali Ha'i - from the UK Miniatures compilation. 1981.
16. King Kong - From the fan club compilation, Daydream B-Liver. Recorded in the early 1970's.
